Title: Southern Spirits
Author: Angie Fox
Series: Southern Ghost Hunter Mysteries
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2
Quick Summary: Verity Long becomes the accidental temporary caretaker of a gangster ghost. This also makes her temporarily able to talk to other ghosts besides her charge. Her ex-fiancé's brother sees her new "powers" and asks her to help with a ghost infestation on his property simply because he has no one else to call.
My Review: I really enjoyed this book. Normally you have it where the protagonist already has her powers or abilities and for the most part, they can know what all they need to do with them. Verity was clueless and needed help understanding what exactly was happening to her. She also used it to her advantage instead of doing a "whoa is me" plot. The actual mystery itself was unique too and I was confused who the antagonist was until it was revealed. Thinking about it I probably should have seen who it was, but either way, I was an awesome read and I'm definitely going to check out the rest of the series when I get a chance.
